Booking with Wanderbus was easy, and their customer service was super flexible in helping us create our own itinerary for what we wanted to do in Ecuador. We were able to schedule extra time at certain stops, and it was easy to pick up the trip again when the time came. José was a clear and excellent communicator, They truly adapted to us and our pace as a family. We couldn’t have been more thankful or appreciative of their support!. You could travel around Ecuador more cheaply, but the experience with Wanderbus is totally worth it!

We had an awesome four days with our guide Jose and driver Johnathan, who were experts in making our trip amazing by sharing their knowledge and good vibes. Though the planned itinerary was already incredible, we appreciated the little personal touches added. Just one example: I love sweets, so we made stops for Jose's recommend ice cream and fresh sugar cane juice . We also appreciated Wanderbus' attention towards environmental sustainability and supporting local communities, as we try to minimize our negative environmental impacts when travelling. Can't recommend enough!

We took the wanderbus from Quito to Banos with Jose and had a wonderful experience! We stopped at beautiful places like Cotopaxi and Quilotoa as well as delicious local spots to eat. Jose was very informative and an excellent guide. I highly recommend taking wanderbus!

This experience was the absolute jewel in my South American adventure. It was well planned & we were advised in advance of terrain, climate & cultural info. Each stop exceeded our expectations with wow factor. Our guide Jose was so well informed & seemed to answer our many questions before we asked. Jose is by far the best guide I’ve had in this part of the world - he is clearly admired & respected by all of the indigenous hosts where we shared meals of delicious local dishes or were privileged to experience cultural rituals. I was encouraged & assisted in so many ways it has been a life experience of the highest value.

We had the most amazing 12 days exploring Ecuador with WanderBus. Our guide Jose was just amazing and so knowledgeable about everything and went above and beyond to make our trip special and tailored to our interests and was amazing at answering all of our questions. What we loved the most was all the amazing interactions with the local and indigenous people across the country and that we visited some really special places that as a backpacker you'd never find. Our driver, Johnathan, was amazing too and kept us safe throughout the whole trip. We felt like a little family at the end of the trip and have the best memories of Ecuador. Thank you Jose and Jonathan!

My brother and I were on a short trip to Ecuador so we decided to do a private tour. Eric picked us up from our hotel in Quito at 6:30 am. Our itinerary was Quito - Cotopaxi - Quilotoa - Banos - Quito ... and thanks to Eric we stopped in many places between. We left Saturday Morning 6:30 am and got dropped to Quito Airport Sunday evening around 8:30 pm. We were able to cover everything in detail. Eric was a trooper. Never showed any frustration or being tired. Long 2 days since we had so much to cover but he drove us around and made changes to the schedule to our need. We felt very comfortable with Eric. English was perfect. Recommendations were great. He is a natural guide. He was very friendly and professional. Please don't hesitate to book tours with this company. You won't regret it at all.

What is a Private Journey? +

A Private Journey is a trip designed exclusively for you and your group. You travel with your own vehicle and a local guide, with no other travelers on board, so you can enjoy every stop at your own pace.

What is included in a Private Journey? +

Every journey includes private transportation between destinations, a local guide, and a curated set of stops and activities along the route. Hotels and meals depend on the journey: some, like Quito Wonder of the Andes (All Inclusive), include hotels. Check each journey page to see exactly what is covered.

How long are the journeys and where do they go? +

We offer private journeys from 2 days, such as Quito – Otavalo or Quito – Baños, up to the 10-day Best of Ecuador full circuit. Routes cover the Andes, the cloud forest of Mindo, the Amazon, Cuenca, Guayaquil and the beaches of Montañita.
